Hotel corridors are the most walked metres in any property — yet they are often the most neglected in lighting design. A well-lit corridor feels safe, spacious, and intentional.
The most effective corridor lighting strategy uses wall washing rather than floor illumination. The ELLA Wall Washer distributes light in a smooth vertical gradient, making the corridor feel wider and eliminating the scalloped shadows that standard downlights create. Combined with wide-flood downlights (50°) at 1.2–1.5× ceiling height spacing, the result is even, glare-free illumination.
